Speaker A
0:01
Thank you so much, Hilke.
0:02
This was a very inspiring way to end the conference.
0:07
Yeah, we have time for maybe one or two questions.
0:11
I know the closing remarks are going to be starting in about 10 minutes, so yeah, does anyone have any?
0:18
Yes, one sec.
Speaker B
0:19
Yeah, Hilke, thanks so much for this inspiring talk and for, yeah, being the first in the atmosphere who speaks publicly about like bringing artists to the protocol.
0:35
And I am really impressed by the, by the two to the end.
0:42
But I want to comment on the, actually you already answered the question in a way, but when you talked about doing the artist of the month, I was thinking of this, this could actually create some kind of competition with attention economy.
0:58
So because any, like, any kind of institution is bringing the artist of the month, and there is— this is creating some kind of, where should I look for the artist of the month?
1:07
And I was thinking what we could do instead in the atmosphere is like building tools for music circles, like small groups of people.
1:16
I mean, you answered this already now, but this is something maybe we should not forget.
1:21
So like people bring together in a room And then don't have the artist in like artist of the month, but have a group of people who are artists but are at the same time people who enjoy art.
1:33
And then maybe they can select among themselves the artist who should be in the spotlight for this event or for another event.
1:44
Yeah, and I really appreciate that you think of, was it the including the creation process.
1:51
So this is not a question, I should have said this before, it's just, I'm just impressed and I want to say thank you for doing this for us.
Speaker C
2:01
Yeah, thank you.
2:02
Yeah, definitely the artist of the month, I was also not really sure because it's some kind of curation, but it couldn't be.
2:10
I think I was thinking it shouldn't be.
2:13
I was thinking a bit in the same direction, maybe it should be like a Do we say estafette in English?
2:18
I don't know.
2:19
Like, you give, there is one artist and they give it to the next or something like that.
2:24
Oh, like a torch, pass the torch.
2:26
Pass the torch, yeah, something like that.
2:28
Yeah, it's, I mean, it's not about nominating an artist, for me it's more about going really deeply into someone's work.
2:38
Yeah, it's not about choosing something, it's about, finding depth in a story of one artist.
2:46
But thank you for your comment.
Speaker A
2:52
Any more questions?
Speaker C
2:53
What do you hope to do next with 2N?
Speaker B
2:57
What do you want to do next?
Speaker A
2:58
Yeah.
Speaker C
3:00
Yeah, I think what was nice about this, it took me only 2 days to program it, and I had more time for music.
3:07
I think this is one of the exciting things now with agents.
3:13
I'm certainly going to make more music.
3:15
So the concept is that you need to be with more and more people, right?
3:23
I think it's also challenging from a musical perspective.
3:26
How do you make that work together?
3:28
I think it's like now there are two versions, but like if there are four people, maybe it would be cool that there are like 4 parts that also work on their own, but then together, and then they would be different than if you would be only 2 people, then it would also work.
3:44
That's the kind of thing that I find interesting as a composer or songwriter.
3:50
Yeah, I can imagine, I don't know if it's worth it, it's sort of a game, but maybe it's a model that more artists want to use, and then we can make it into some crazy music service.
Speaker A
4:07
Cool.
4:08
Thank you so much, Hilke.
4:10
Thank you, everyone.
4:14
And the closing remarks of the conference will be beginning shortly in the Great Hall.
4:20
So thank you for coming and hope to see you next year.
